ABOUT BUDO MARTIAL ARTS CLUB
Budo Martial Arts is a Community Amateur Sports Club based in Bracknell, Berks. and is run on a not for profit basis by Sensei Steve Tapper (4th Dan). Sensei Steve has practiced and studied martial arts for over 40 years, (Judo and various styles of Karate). Sensei Steve is dedicated to learning and teaching the traditional forms, both physically and spiritually.
Budo translated mean The Martial Way.
The purpose is simple, to aspire to reach the best version of ourselves both in the Dojo and in life. Our karate is holistic and brings teachings from other martial arts where felt beneficial to the practitioner.
Modern day life can be very complicated, but the lessons from our ancestors are there to help.
Through training, we look to inspire confidence and humbleness and bring a balance. Everything in the Universe breathes hard and soft.
Our syllabus is designed to encourage and guide one’s growth at an appropriate time in one’s learning. Students are encouraged to actively train and learn outside of the Dojo themselves and conduct themselves in a manner appropriate to our Dojo’s principles.
The ultimate goal is enlightenment.
All teachers are enhanced DBS. checked, first aid qualified and insured.
